Prepare your project with this checklist.

Bills and time-of-use tariffs Collect 12 consecutive months of electricity consumption, costs and peak/standard/off-peak prices and hours where possible. Note whether bills also cover other workshops, offices or lighting.

Cold store and goods conditions Dimensions, temperature zones, goods, throughput, door openings and defrost cycles; record permitted temperature ranges.

Refrigeration system parameters Nameplates, cooling capacity, electrical power, refrigerant, terminal type and daily run hours. Rated power is not measured average power.

Operation and metering evidence Meter locations, equipment covered, temperature and load records, collection times. State whether COP is measured, supplied by the manufacturer or estimated.

Installation conditions and site photos Space, equipment layout, airflow, structural loads and maintenance access. Photograph overviews and nameplates, avoiding unrelated personal information.

Project objectives and commercial conditions Target payback, investor, remaining lease or service life, installation window, decision-maker and next discussion date.
