Passive Edge attends the 2025 China-Africa Energy Dialogue

On April 18, the “2025 China-Africa Energy Dialogue: African Energy Transition and Sustainable Development” — co-hosted by UNIDO’s Investment and Technology Promotion Office and Development Reimagined — was held at the UNIDO Fourth Industrial Revolution Industry Accelerator in Hangzhou. Passive Edge was invited as a green-technology innovator.

The dialogue focused on renewable-energy investment opportunities, policy environments, and market trends within the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region. Passive Edge shared innovations in cold chain logistics, building energy efficiency, and temperature control for home textiles.

Leveraging Africa’s abundant solar resources, we proposed a “Solar-Powered Refrigeration + Phase Change Cold Storage” systemic solution — particularly suited to regions with unstable electricity or high energy costs. This efficient, low-carbon cold chain can support agricultural-produce preservation and vaccine transportation, contributing to food security and public health across Africa.
